This page is for confirmed workshop presenters at ER&L 2026. See below for important information regarding your presentation requirements, how to upload your attendee-facing slides, how to have the slides available for you on the in-room laptop, what to expect in your session room, and more.

Register

Speaker Portal

Log into the Speaker Portal to update your speaker profile. Here are some suggestions for building your profile:

  • Please upload a recent photo or headshot. If you prefer not to upload a photo, your initials or the conference logo will be in place of a photo. 
  • Add a biography to let your audience get to know you!
  • Add additional links to LinkedIn, Google Scholar, personal websites, etc. 

Please remember that your profile is public and not limited to attendees.

Planning Your Course

  • Your session was accepted for the 4-hour presentation in-person in Austin, Texas.
  • A shared break is scheduled for 2:30 pm, during which time, light snacks and beverages will be available for you and your attendees.
  • Workshop sessions are not recorded for the Online Conference.
  • If you have any supplies that you know you will need for your course, please let us know as early as possible.
  • ER&L will check in with you in late-February to give you an update on registration numbers (8-person minimum).
  • ER&L will send your list of registrants to you by February 13 with an update closer to the conference if applicable.

What to Expect in Austin

In Your Presentation Room

Your presentation room will have:

  • PC laptop on the lectern
  • Wired microphone at the lectern
  • Large projection screen(s)
  • Wi-Fi
  • Flip chart & markers
  • Electrical outlet access
  • Panel table with chairs

You will have access to your presentation room 1 hour prior to your course. Use that hour to set up your materials, get your slides loaded on the laptop, and get comfortable in the room.

Laptop & Slides

A PC laptop will be available for you to use in your presentation room; however, you are also welcome to bring your own laptop. 

  • If you plan to use the ER&L laptop, you also have the option to upload your slides to our private Dropbox for in-room slides folder, and those slides will be available on the desktop of that laptop.
  • If you plan to bring your own laptop, uploading your slides is not necessary. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of your course so we can get your computer set up with the projector. 

Materials for Attendees

Supplies

Will you need specific materials for your attendees during the course, such as pens, markers, sticky notes, etc? Let us know as soon as possible so we can be sure to secure those items for you. If you pre-request these items, they will be waiting in your presentation room. 

Handouts

Will you have handouts for your course participants? If you would like us to print any materials for you, please let us know as soon as possible. Any items needed to be printed onsite would be due to us no later than 12:00 pm on Wednesday, February 25. We will deliver the printed items to the room you are presenting in. If you are not able to send us the materials before 12:00 pm on February 25, there is a Business Center on the property where you can print the materials. Visit us at the Registration Desk, and we will ensure the copies are charged to our account.

Accessibility Needs

Every submitter was asked to indicate whether any accommodations were needed, but we’re still here to assist you in having a comfortable and safe experience. Contact us onsite at the Registration desk or email hello@electroniclibrarian.org with any accessibility questions or needs.

Speaker Ready Room

Presenters of all session types are welcome to meet and practice in the Speaker Ready Room (Room 101, M1). Work out your nerves or just work in a private room with access to power, dry-erase boards, and a lectern to practice your presentation.

Registration

Workshop presenters are offered waived registration in addition to the honorarium for their course. Please use the link in your acceptance letter to register.

Hotels & Travel

All available housing options are listed here. Please be sure to book early for the most availability and best rates. 

Sunday courses: We recommend arrival on Saturday so that you are in Austin prior to your afternoon workshop on Sunday.  If you have any trouble with securing a hotel room for Saturday night, please contact the ER&L Team at hello@electroniclibrarian.org.

Wednesday Course: We recommend staying in Austin on Wednesday and departing on Thursday. If you have any trouble with securing a hotel room for Wednesday night, please contact the ER&L Team at hello@electroniclibrarian.org.
