Space Camp ER&L Day 2 Report

ER&L 2024 happens to be my first ER&L, so I am taking in the events of the day as a newbie. 🙂

This sunny day began on a positive note with the delicious breakfast buffet. Attendees could be heard discussing their appreciation for it, particularly the breakfast potatoes.

That provided the fuel to take in the conference presentations and discussions on day two. I observed strong audience engagement during each session, which may be due to the applicability of the ER&L sessions to the attendees’ jobs. Lively discussion could be heard, as could attendees making plans to discuss a new idea further after the conference.

It has been easy to notice the special ER&L initiatives that hit home with attendees who return each year, from the t-shirt printing to visiting the exhibitor hall and attending poster presentations. By ending day two with the Jeopardy session, I came away with a feeling of camaraderie and a sense of appreciation for the work we all do.

I’m looking forward to day three when I can watch the recordings of the sessions I missed and share what I’ve learned with colleagues at my institution. Can’t wait for ER&L 2025!
